The 1999 mtv europe music awards... live in Dublin
So, I watched the fantastic show in which Boyzone won two awards in on Mtv and this is my special review...
It all started out that I thought that Boyzone wouldn't win any award. And yes indeed, I was surpriced when the Boyz won the best album award. Then when they won the best UK and Ireland act I must confess I wasn't surpriced. Although I had thoughts that maybe, just maybe Westlife would get that award, but I love Westlife as well and I was heartbroken they didn't win an award. Ok, for the people who hasn't seen the show (which I think you have seen) here's some info about the wonderful night...
*Eloy and Stephen were there together and sat next to eachother. It was very sweet and you could see them very well (as well as the other Boyz) because they were sitting on the front row, the best seates I think. Well, no wonder, Ronan was the host of the show.
*There was this fight between Shane BZ and Puff Daddy. But it's all sorted out now and Puffy has invited Shane to a concert in The Point (which the Mtv awards were held) in Dublin to bury the hatchet.
*Ronan Keating BZ was the host of the show.
*The Boyz had a private party afterwards. They actually still won't admit it....ok..
*When the Boyz won The Best Album award and The Best UK/Ireland Act, the lads from Westlife got up from their seats to honour the Boyz. Even though they were nominated in the same category (Best UK/Ireland Act). Isn't that sweet?
*The Boyz also had a drink with the U2 boys after the cermony.
*They also had 2 amazing speeches....
BEST ALBUM GOES TO.... BOYZONE!
Keith: Dublin! Louis Walsh, John Reynolds, you're the man! Ireland... The living legends. U2 put us on the map! Look at us now! Look at us now! Somebody once said: Give the irish alcohol so they don't take over the world, try again, look at us now! Thank you!

Shane: Alrighty folks... Lately, in the press, there's been a whole load of F***ing shit! About Boyzone. I'll tell u what, we're dubliners, we're irish, and we'll be here for a lot of time!!
Mikey: Well, last but not least I'd just like to thank a cupple of people, our record company, our managment Louis and John, our family and friends and last... but not least! All of our fans! Thank you for all the suport for the last six years. Without you, we wouldn't be here. Thank you!
Ronan: He, he, he... What I have to say other than thank you very much to everybody who's suported us over the years... To our recordcompany Lousie and grejsh (???). Thanx to everybody, god bless us all...
Keith: John Kennedy, thank you! Isn't Ronan doing a great job??? Fly the flag!
BEST UK/IRELAND ACT... Boyzone!
Stephen: Hey, woh.....
Ronan: To us!!
Stephen: Hurroh!! (dog voice?)
Keith: Everybody said Ronan would fix this, but we don't think so do we?
Stephen: Eyh? (Steve, have you been drinking?)
Keith: Anyway, listen, we're here for a good time, not a long time, so enjoy yourselves alright? I just wanna say we come from Dublin, we're very proud of that, but we just wanna say, y'know Ireland's a great country and we just wanna say and give respect. To the best band in the world, that is U2, with Bono and Larry and Adam and The Edge. Y'know what I mean? It's because of them, that irish music has been aprichieted all over the world, thank you lads, we aprichiate you and god bless ya'!
Stephen: I wanna say thank you very much to our record company once again, Polydor. And thank you to all our fans, thank you very much for the suport in the past six years, thank you for the suport of myself, take care, god bless, thank you.
Ronan: I want to say thank you to Jack and Yvonne, for suporting me through everything, all my family... and all our families for sticking by us, Louis and John, all the kids, god bless us all thank you very much.
