I WANT TO ADOPT SAY'S BOYZONE'S GAY STEPHEN.
BOYZONE'S gay singer, Stephen Gately, last night revealed he is desperate to adopt a child.The star, 23, and his boyfriend Eloy De Jong long to settle down and bring up a baby together. Stephen said: "If there was a way open to adopt I'd do it. I'd love to give a kid an opportunity."The pair hope to raise the child in Ireland and Holland where they have homes.
Last night, the British Agencies For Adopting and Fostering could see no reason why Stephen could not adopt.A spokeswoman said: "When they do decide to adopt, only one of them can apply.They are not married so only one name can go on the list and have parental responsibily."Meanwhile Stephen who announced to the world that he was gay exclusively in The Sun in June has also confirmed that he was never forced to come out. He says in the new issue of Attitude magazine: "The Sun has been great. It's really helped me."Since Stephen made his courageous announcement, Boyzone have attracted a huge gay following who flock to all their concerts.Stephen and the rest of the chart topping band kick off the London leg of their UK tour on Monday.Tickets for the concerts sold out within hours when they went on sale earlier this year.Stephen said:" I just love performing on stage.- Nothing can beat it!"
